Have you ever wondered what you would do if someone ever broke into your house? Would you go investigate and see who was there? Would you be brave and fight them off? Would you have enough sense to call 911? Well, friends, last night I got the chance to see how I would react. I woke up at 1:20 and had to go to the bathroom. I went in and done my business and came back and crawled in bed. Through the curtain that hangs over the open pocket door, I saw a bright light from the hallway. Someone had opened the side door and was walking into our apartment! To murder me and my kittens, no doubt. So, what heroic feat did the brave one do in this terrifying moment, you ask???? I hid under the covers...for real. I held the blanket up over my face with just my eyes poking out and woke up Doug. I didn't think people really did that--hid under the covers. I mean, obviously, if the intruder wanted to find me, that is not a good place to hide. He/she could see my massive body lying under the quilts, protected only by the squid pillow (body pillow for pregnant chicks). Doug got up and fought off the villain, who just so happened to be Mr. Dew, who coming to feed our kittens (we were away for Easter weekend, he didn't know we had returned).
Oh well. I don't even remember Doug coming back to bed after the intruder (aka Brian) left. I think I had already fallen back asleep. I'm sure Yoshi served as back up to Doug Bear. He is our guard cat (panther).
In other news, my belly keeps expanding. It is getting ridiculous, folks. Today I had to cut the elastic of my maternity pants because it was too tight. I still have 16 more weeks to go. Get a load of this load! Here's a picture from Easter at Beetle's. One night this week, I'll have ole Doug Bear scan an ultrasound picture of the boys. I'd do it, but that would require me to leave the couch and walk upstairs. Too much work.
