Do you ever think how weird it is that you are where you are? Like, did your life turn out how you thought it would? Are you just amazed at where you are now? Sometimes, I'll be walking through the house and start to think about this. How wonderfully lucky I am to have met Doogles and all of my awesome buddies and to be living such a happy life. And how life changes so quickly! I mean, just 5 years ago, I was graduating from UK without a clue as to where life would take me. And now, here I am in WW hanging out with my little family, working my little job, living life. I don't know, maybe I'm just a nerd for thinking about these things, but it just blows my mind.
This blog introduces the reader to my daily life. Most of the time, it is pretty boring, but every once in a while, you'll read something funny.

Happy Blogiversary!
Today is the 1-year anniversary of my blog. I can't believe it. One year! Time flies when you're writing about the goofy stuff that happens in your life. On my very first blog, I had a picture of baby Flash, so it is only fitting that this blog have a toddler picture of Flashy. My, how he's grown. But really, the baby Flash picture from last year is misleading, because at that point, the child was already 1 year old. I guess I just posted that picture because it was the cutest one I had on my pomcuter (as Dilly used to call it).
Dilly got a new ride! Look out, citizens of Dwarf, Dilly is on the loose. He is driving a stick shift. I hope he is better at it than I was when I first got my car. Good Lord. Remember when I peeled rubbed through the McDonald's drive-thru? Oh, I bet they thought I was a nut. See, the drive-thru was on the tiniest incline...yet, it was enough of an incline to make me spin my wheels and peel out. How embarrasing! It was on the way to the damn pick-up window, so I still had to face the people. If I hadn't of paid, I would've just left. First gear on an incline, gotta love a stick shift.

Speaking of new cars and stick shifts, wouldn't it be grand to own an automatic? I've been thinking about it lately. Perhaps Doug's obsession with cars has rubbed off on me. I just can't find it in my heart to get rid of Betty Blue, though. She is so perfect...tell me again, why did I get a stick shift when I bought her? She has seat warmers, 6-disc CD player, sunroof, tinted windows, leather seats, she is the perfect shade of blue, oh yeah, and she's ALL MINE! Completely paid for. I guess I'll just keep the ole gal. Maybe someday I'll have an automatic. And maybe it'll look like this:

I Miss My Uncle Charles, Y'all
When I was in 6th grade, The Bone Thugs in Harmony were popular. Remember those dudes? They all had names with "Bone" in them...like the Spice Girls were each a different spice (i.e., Baby Spice, Ginger Spice, Sporty Spice), The Bone Thugs were different types of bones: Crazy Bone, Busy Bone, Lazy Bone (pretty thuggish, right?). So, anyway, The Bone Thugs had a song, "Cross Roads." In this tune, there was a lyric that went, "Why'd they kill my dog? Damn, I miss my Uncle Charles, y'all." I thought the translation was literal, that someone really killed the dude's dog. "Man, that is jacked up. Why would someone kill a feller's ole dog?" I thought to my 6th grade self. Later in life it was made known to me that "dog" was a slang term for "friend." Makes more sense, I guess. Though, I'd be equally afraid of a gang who went around killing fellers' dogs.***Upon a quick google search, the name of the group is actually Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, and there's even a member named Flesh-n-Bone. Pretty wicked.
In a Box
Codar is like a cat. He sleeps all day (even napping in boxes), and when he wakes up, it is only to eat or potty.

We're off to see the Beetle, the Wonderful Beetle of Dwarf!
13 days until I'm vacationing in sunny Dwarf! Woo-hoo! So excited. I cannot wait to hang with the Beetle. It is going to be so much fun. What are we going to do? Hit her favorite hot spots: Pizza Hut, Wal-Mart, JC Penney. Oh yeah! It's going to be awesome. She'll show me all of her crafts. We'll look at the flood damage. And hopefully Barksdale will not die while I am there. I don't know if I'll be able to handle the mourning of the entire Cornett bunch when the dog goes to Heaven. My mother called me last night and said that Beetle thought Barks was a goner last night. Poor ole feller. He'll probably outlive us all. It'll be a sad day in D-town when Barksy is pushing up daisies.

It feels amazing outside! I am hanging on the hammock, you know how I do, and I never want to leave! Can't it feel like this year round (with the exception of the week of Christmas; it has to snow the week of Christmas). You know, it's only 183 days til Christmas. I bought the first Christmas present yesterday morning. The present probably won't last til Christmas. I'll give it to the rightful owner sooner than that, I bet. That's the only drawback to buying presents early--you always want to give them to the recipient immediately. Oh well, Christmas is 183 days away, we should be more focused on HALLOWEEN, which is only 127 days away. I have already picked out my costume, have you? You better be at the Halloween Party! I'm talking to YOU!
Oh, and before I forget, last night, we went over to Carol's pool to check out her night blooming cereus. It only blooms for one night of the year. Pretty cool!

Wiggy Dip

Today, I was faced with a difficult life decision: what flavor of ice cream to get from the Wiggy Dip Mobile ice Cream Parlor at work. I have been thinking on this all week. First, I was going to get butter pecan, a classic, but then I decided to live a little. I ended up getting Buckeyes and Cookies and Cream. Spectacular!! Wiggy Dip should come to the workplace every Thursday!
